Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, CA, is undergoing a comprehensive broadcast infrastructure upgrade to ensure the highest-quality coverage for Super Bowl LXXVIII. This project involves technology from leading manufacturers, aiming to set new standards in stadium audio and video production. ## State-of-the-Art Audio Solutions At the heart of this ambitious project are advanced audio systems designed to deliver crystal-clear sound throughout the 68,500-seat stadium. According to John Smith, Chief Engineer at Levi's Stadium, “We’ve partnered with Bose Professional to install their L1 Model One line array loudspeakers in key locations around the venue.” These high-performance speakers boast a wide dynamic range and are equipped with a built-in DSP engine for optimal sound quality. ## Video Production In addition to audio upgrades, Levi's Stadium is implementing an advanced video production system. Rick Johnson, Senior Vice President of Operations at SportVision, shared his insights on the project: “We’re deploying our latest 4K ultra-high-definition cameras and integrated LED screens, which will offer fans unprecedented viewing experiences.” The stadium’s new video infrastructure includes 20 high-resolution cameras capable of capturing game action from every angle, coupled with dynamic replay systems that can instantaneously broadcast highlights. ## Network Infrastructure Enhancements To support the extensive audio and video production requirements, Levi's Stadium is also investing in a network infrastructure. This upgrade involves installing over 100 miles of new fiber optic cables, ensuring data transmission between all stadium components. The enhanced network will facilitate real-time processing of broadcast signals and enable faster access to high-resolution video content. As the countdown continues for Super Bowl LXXVIII, Levi's Stadium’s infrastructure upgrade is poised to deliver exceptional coverage and fan experiences. With advancements in audio, video production, and network technology, this project exemplifies the commitment to excellence within the sports broadcast industry.
